Breeding philosophy

We have carefully selected stud sires from some of Australia’s most respected herds, including Mordallup, Glengowan Angus (VIC) in the 1960s, Rosaleigh (SA) and Bald Blair (NSW) in the 1970s, as well as Black Rock, Black Tara, Monterey, Coonamble, and Little Meadows. Since 2016, we have made significant investments in Millah Murrah genetics, purchasing eight stud bulls to further enhance the growth and quality of our herd.

At Springhills Angus our focus is on breeding easy doing, fertile animals that are deep bodied. They must have a powerful sire outlook, are structurally correct, have good bone,  are well-muscled and docility is a must.

As we continue to strive for improvement, Springhills Angus remains committed to sourcing the best genetics from across Australia to ensure our herd stays at the forefront of the industry.
